Community Opposed to Shap Turbines

COST is a group formed for the Shap community and is open to
anyone who has an interest in the Wind Turbine Farms that are under
consideration to be built in the area surrounding Shap Village. |

Royal British Legion Womens Section

| Meetings take place in the Green Room, third Tuesday of every
month. Interesting speakers and competitions. See notice board

Mothers Union
|
| Meetings every third Tursday of each month. We are a Christian
organisation which promotes the well-being of families. Interesting

Age Concern

| We have a Charity shop in Shap. We also run Day Care, a day centre,

Evergreen Club
|
| Meetings held every Tuesday. We enjoy dominoes, a game of bingo,
a raffle. Also social events and five trips per year. Anyone 60
and over very welcome to join us. |
