4.3 To consider payment for Internal Audit Work. 

4.4 To receive budget update.

5 Planning applications:

5.1 09/0535. Proposed new dwelling. 7 Foster Street, Shap, CA10 3JT 

5.2Notice of Withdrawal of application - 09/0304 Site adjacent to        new Surgery, Peggy Nut Croft, Shap - withdrawn 10 July 2009.

5.3 09/0568 Full Application - Erection of four dwellings - Peggy Nut Croft, Shap, Penrith.

5.4 Cumbria County Council - Shap Primary School Crossing. Plan to show proposed improvements.

 6. Haweswater Woodland Plan Paul Clavey, Woodland Officer and John    Gorst ,Catchment Biodiversity Officer from United Utilities gave a presentation at the last meeting and would appreciate feedback from the Parish Council.

7.Shap Beck Quarry - Councillors are invited to a visit at the quarry to be arranged towards the end of August - suggestions for dates required.

8.Bus Shelter - Contact has been made with Keith Masser and also Martin Elson from Kendal. Hopeful of obtaining a grant from Cumbria Highways. -                                                                                                    9 Risk Assessment review - following a meeting to review report on the outcome.

10 Correspondence:

10.1 To receive update from John Banks, Capita Symonds re the flooding on the Crosby Ravensworth road by the bridge.

10.2 To receive letter from a resident in Station Road regarding parking, and safety at the junction. To advise that this letter was copied to our police on 13 July 2009.

10.3 To receive update from PCSO Stuart Brownrigg re Shap problems.

10.4 To receive notification from LDNP Authority that Parish Tours are again being offered in September.

10.5 To receive update from Thomas Armstrong regarding the New Health Centre at Shap.

10.6 To receive notification from Amey Mouchel regarding work to be carried out on Harrowstead Railway bridge, Thrimby Bridge, Borwick Lane bridge and Green Bank bridge. 

10.7 To receive notice from Eden District Council regarding Council Support for Community Litter Picks.

10.8 To receive publication from Cumbria Highways Summer 2009.

10.9 To receive CALC circular July/August 2009.

10.10 To receive update from Quarry Liaison Meeting held on 20 July 2009.

10.11 To receive information from CALC regarding training courses Sept 09 to Mar 2010.
