The pictures show one turbine each (of the proposed ten), superimposed on photos taken from the bowling green, the doctor’s surgery and the cemetery.
The proposals are for turbines 100 metres tall - nearly twice the height of the anemometer mast - and the ones superimposed on these pictures are as close to this as it possible to get without expensive professionals or equipment!
They represent neither a best-case nor a worst-case scenario.

The anemometer marking part of the proposed site. The ten turbines could be twice the height of this mast.
The proposal is now for ten turbines, 100 metres tall, and a mall photovoltaic array - solar panels on th roof of the control room. The turbines, if constructed will be visible from the Pennines to the Cumbrian Mountains, and from the Howgills, to Blencathra.
A view north east from the proposed site, showing the three recognisable clumps of trees ("the three legions"), visible from Penrith.
Another aspect of the mast, half the size of the proposed turbines.
Mast showing relative height and location of pylons.
