Grandparents have been the centre of two special events held in Shap this week. On Thursday the pupils of Shap Primary School held Grandparents Day when grandparents were invited to join in classroom activities tour the school and attend a special assembly in the hall, the response was much greater than anticipated with over 100 grandparents attending.
On Sunday Morning a Let's Praise service was held in St. Michael's church, again with a Grandparent theme. As everyone arrived they were given quiz sheets to complete, all the answers were related to the terms used for grandparents. Worship was led by Revd Beverley Lock and the organist was Janet Wood. Lessons were read by Mandy Parker and Derrick Newsome and the prayers led by Elsie Davidson.
