Hi, would love to visit as sounds like a great pool but no details about ratio of adults to children - we don't want to plan a visit and end up with dissapointed kiddies. How many children can one adult be responsible for and are there any age limits?
Thanks
There are no set down limits so if your there with 4 young kids then thats fine as there is a lifguard as well.
do oap recieve a discount, have used your pool before and found it very good.
i remain yours r day.
Hi Ron,
Yes OAPs do get a discount on entry.

Thanks to all the staff at Shap Swimming Pool, for allowing us to use the shower facilities during 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, Light Aid Detachment, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers recent Coast to Coast charity walk (7 days) after 2 days hard slog, torential rain and cold winds it gave us chance to thaw out a bit, prior to a cracking night at the Bulls Head. Once agin many thanks !!!! to you all !
Regards,
Sergeant Neil Hymas,

Had a great swim here, it's even better in the rain! If you're in the area don't miss-out, get in and have a swim.
Thanks to all the volunteers who keep it going a 'funtastic' little pool.
What a wonderfull pool. My wife and I have recently finished the Coast-2-Coast walk and one of the highlights was the day we arrived early in Shap and found the open air pool. After a hard days walk over the fells from Patterdale there was no better way to relax and unwind.
Best wishes from Perth Australia
Opened yesterday in glorious sunshine.
